It is very important for us to vote, to have a government that will do many things for our country, such as health, education, employment, etc. We are also being represented as a citizen, and we will choose who will govern our nation and we will avoid corruption, high interest rates, high bureaucracy, high taxes on the market, we have to vote because we have to be civilized and greatly improve our nation, be it a country, state or city. Try to understand the proposals that the candidate has to offer you whether they are good or not, many people vote blank, many people do not vote, we depend on the government to have a better nation, so that the government is not lousy, it is important to remain in shape with which candidates we will choose, whether it is bad or not.
Voting is perhaps the most important thing a citizen can do to support their democratic form of government. A democracy is a system in which the people have a voice in the decisions of their community or nation. Voting has long been the method used to determine the will of the citizenry. Without a vote, a citizen is essentially voiceless.
Voting in a democracy usually takes one of two forms. In a representative democracy, such as the United States, citizens vote for their representatives in government. In theory, their job is to represent the wishes of the electorate. By voting for the representative that you think will do the best job, you are voicing your approval of them and allowing them to continue their work in government. Of course, if you disapprove of their work, you can vote for someone else.
Citizens can also vote directly on issues through a more direct democratic process. The most common place to see this is in statewide voter initiatives. Through this process, voters can directly change and influence policy and law on the state level. This is a voter's chance to influence their democracy without relying on elected officials.
So essentially, a democracy would not function if people did not vote. Unfortunately, in many democracies, the electorate does not take full advantage of their voting rights. In these cases, the more enfranchised and active part of the population gets to have a greater influence over public affairs and a democracy might not fully represent its people as a whole. Therefore it is very important that people vote so that their voice can be added to the overall wishes of the citizenry.
Voting is very important in a democracy. One of the responsibilities of a citizen is to take part in the democracy. By voting in elections, citizens should become familiar with what each candidate supports. By becoming an informed citizen, a person will become familiar with the key issues facing the voters and with what each candidate’s position is on each issue. This will help the voters make informed choices when they vote.
If a person doesn’t vote in an election, they really can’t complain about the elected officials. They also can’t complain about the policies that are developed by the elected officials. In reality, they are allowing other people to choose their leaders for them. By voting, a person is more likely to get elected officials who will listen to the voices of the people they represent. Elected officials make decisions regarding issues that impact a person’s life. People should vote so they can have a say about who their elected officials will be.
Voting is a right that wasn’t always guaranteed to the citizens. At one time, property ownership was needed in order to vote. Women and African Americans had a long struggle to get the right to vote. Voting is something that shouldn’t be taken for granted.
