6/(x-1)=9/(x+1) Solve the equation by cross multiplying. Check for extraneous solutions.

6/(x-1)=9/(x+1)
Cross multiply,
6(x+1)=9(x-1)
6x+6=9x-9
6x-9x=-9-6
-3x=-15
x=(-15)/(-3)
x=5
Check the solution:
6/(5-1)=9/(5+1)
6/4=9/6
(3*2)/(2*2)=(3*3)/(3*2)
3/2=3/2
It's true.
So, solution is x=5
