Where is the main setting of the book

The great 2007 crime novel The Tin Roof Blowdown takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana. Set in 2005 after the devastating Hurricane Katrina, James Lee Burke's novel follows Dave Robicheaux as he attempts to solve the brutal murders of three young looters.
The setting of The Tin Roof Blowdown plays a completely essential role to the tone and themes of the novel. The novel deals with the brutality, sadism, violence, and utter corruption of mankind, which all occurs against the backdrop of the utter hopelessness and devastation that occurred from the natural disaster. The brutality and helplessness of the survivors of the hurricane in many ways mirror the struggle of Robicheaux as well as that of the crime victims. Of course, the hurricane only adds fuel to the fire of angst, and a powder keg of violence erupts, partially out of utter desperation.
