Precalculus, Chapter 9, 9.2, Section 9.2, Problem 19

The first five terms of this sequence are
-3, 3/2, -1, 3/4, -3/5.
No, this sequence is not an arithmetic one, because the differences between the adjacent terms are not all the same. For example,
a_2-a_1=3/2+3=9/2,
but
a_3-a_2=-1-3/2=-5/2!=9/2.
