Its not that mush difficult. Its so easy and u just hve to look it up qietly and conentrate what u had studied about this. Then write down the chemical formula of benzene (C6H6) and now u hve to combust it and combustion means in presense of oxygen(O2)..... Then u will get carbondioxide (CO2) and water(H2O).
C6H6 + O2 - > CO2 + H2O.
After balancing the equation u ill get,
2C6H6 + 15O2 - >12CO2 +6H2O.
Benzene is a significant compound in organic chemistry, made up of a ring of six carbon atoms with a hydrogen atom attached to each one. It can be helpful to visualize the structure of the compound when considering how it will react when combustion takes place.
When benzene, C6H6, combusts, its carbon atoms and hydrogen atoms will all react with the oxygen present in air. 2 oxygen atoms will combine with each carbon atom to produce CO2, while two hydrogen atoms will combine with each carbon atom to produce H2O, water. The balanced equation for this reaction is as follows:
2C6H6 + 15O2 goes to 12CO2 + 6H2O
Note that this is the most condensed the equation can be, as the indivisible 15 does not allow us to reduce it further. All organic compounds will produce carbon dioxide and water when they combust, so you just need to make sure the atoms are balanced on each side.
