What was Wendy doing during the fight?

During the fight with Captain Hook and his pirates in chapter 15, Wendy is tied to the mast of the ship. This is where Captain Hook had her placed in the previous chapter in order to force her to watch her "boys" walk the plank.
Wendy, however, is no coward. She stands up bravely to Captain Hook, who she looks down on as a scoundrel. She tells the boys to die like English gentlemen, which they agree to do. She refuses to compromise with the pirates.
When Peter Pan appears and the fight starts between the boys and the pirates, Wendy is still tied to the mast, but she sees them defeat Hook and his men. She plays the classic role in literature of the immobilized damsel who must be saved by the heroic male figures.
As the text says,

Wendy, of course, had stood by taking no part in the fight, though watching Peter with glistening eyes.
