How does Gatsby's father feel as he looks at his son's mansion?

We meet Gatsby's father, Henry C. Gatz, after Gatsby dies. Henry Gatz travels from Minnesota for his son's funeral.
At Gatsby's mansion, Henry is grieved when faced with the reality of his son's demise. However, Henry is also filled with pride as he looks around the mansion. He tells Nick that Gatsby would have been a great man if he had lived. Henry Gatz is convinced that his son's intellectual gifts would have given him a great future. It is obvious that Henry is extremely proud of his son.
As he looks around the mansion, Henry may have believed that the opulence of the mansion speaks to Gatsby's accomplishments. Later, Henry tells Nick that Gatsby visited him two years earlier and bought him the house he now lives in. Henry maintains that Gatsby was always generous with him "ever since he made a success." With obvious pride, Henry also shows Nick one of Gatsby's old planners.
In the planner, Gatsby's entries show that he had meticulous habits. In all, Henry Gatz feels great pride when he looks at his son's mansion.
