What did Tate’s mob want?

I believe that this question is asking about Heck Tate and the group of men from chapter 15 of To Kill a Mockingbird. I'm not sure I would call Tate's group of men a mob, but the group does definitely try to use its size to subtly intimidate Atticus Finch. Their end goal is to try to dissuade Atticus from continuing with the case. They are a group of respectable men, and they appeal to Atticus's well developed sense of logic. They tell Atticus that the case is a dangerous case to take. They stress that he never should have taken the case in the first place, and then they drop a slightly veiled threat. They tell Atticus that he stands to lose everything if he stays with the Robinson case.

“—don’t see why you touched it in the first place,” Mr. Link Deas was saying.
“You’ve got everything to lose from this, Atticus. I mean everything.”
