To some extent, we would need to know which industry or workplace the question is asking about. Some workplaces remain largely unaffected by computers, but computers have indeed caused large changes across most workplaces.
Space management—With the ability to save documents digitally, the need for rooms dedicated to storing a huge number of files is going away. This is especially true now that cloud storage is so readily available for low prices.
Off-site, written communication speeds have increased. Email is near instantaneous, while before computers, any written communication had to be carried by messenger.
Less person to person contact—Email can now be widely used instead of a meeting or even a phone call.
Improved efficiency—This is debatable, but when it comes to something like searching for a large number of files or a huge spreadsheet for a particular number, a computer can do it faster than a room full of humans looking through reams of paper.
