list of all the country europian colonize

European colonization began in the 1096-99 centuries thanks to their ability to control sea routes. The Europeans claimed South America in 1494 along with with Caribbeans and some of Mexico. The years went by and Europeans began to send ships to those destination to create towns and cities.By 1526 they overtook Norway along with smaller islands like the Philippines and Iceland. By 1540 the land of Mexico they had concorced had become "Self Governed". By 1560 some of the land in south America was either claimed, European colonies or self governed Colonies. By 1600 Europe claimed Greenland. By 1607 the famous 13 American colonies were made. By 1700 Europe was doing nothing but colonizing, with the help of the 13 colonies Europe had one third of America and about Half of Canada. By 1731 Europe had almost all of America and Canada along with All of Russia. By 1750 Europe took India but lost almost all of South America. By 1800 they had half of Australia but lot the 13 colonies. By 1830 they had all of Australia and Lost South America and America. This continued on but Europe would conquer a country but that country become independent. Its had to say how much they ruled but you can count how much they used to have. They had the Americas and Canada along with all of Africa also Australia and India.

To answer this question, it is easier to list the five countries that were never under European control or influence. The rest of the countries either were colonies of Europe or were under the influence of Europe.
The countries that were never under European control or influence are Liberia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, and Thailand. The Europeans left Liberia alone because the United States supported the government of Liberia as a place where freed slaves could go after becoming free. Japan and Korea were able to keep the Europeans away because they followed strong isolationist policies. They also were left alone because of their strength and their diplomacy. Thailand was not colonized because it served as a buffer between Burma, which was controlled by the British, and Indochina, which was controlled by the French.
These rest of the countries were under European influence and/or control in some way.
